Unlocking Happiness
Lecture Guided by the Psychologist & former Monk Idan Topaz
With a background in Clinical and Medical Psychology, my path led me to become a Theravada Buddhist Monk in Thailand for 10 years, immersing myself in Vipassana meditation and Buddhist psychology.
My unique perspective, born from personal struggles with depression, anxiety, and loneliness, fuels my mission to guide others towards tranquility and contentment.

As a practicing psychologist with a monk's wisdom, I offer tangible tools for nurturing mental and emotional well-being, and inviting the audience to embark on a journey of profound self-discovery.
My workshops are a transformative journey that bring the depth of ancient monastic wisdom of Thailand, to daily modern life. I teach in simple language and with relevant practical examples, so that the audience can understand how to lead happy and satisfying lives.
In my workshops, we delve into Thai Buddhist culture shaped by centuries-old traditions, exploring the vibrant community life around temples and the art of happiness as taught by the Buddha through meditation practices. We examine modern developments in Thai Buddhism and its impact on the new generation, all woven into the fabric of my own life as a former monk.

My workshops are an adventure that brings the best of Eastern wisdom of meditation and practical insights from Western science of psychology. The participants will graduate from the workshop with a feeling of calmness and satisfaction, backed up with hope that their newly acquired tools will help them lead a happier and more fulfilling life.
